Plagiarism Policy
At
the National Journal of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology (NJPPP), we
uphold rigorous standards of integrity in scholarly publishing and consider
plagiarism a serious violation of academic and ethical norms. NJPPP is using iThenticate software for the detection of the similarity index. To ensure the originality
of the work we publish, we have implemented a comprehensive plagiarism policy.
Points covered in this policy include:
Forms of plagiarism

data, or ideas without proper citation.
· Paraphrasing or
rephrasing without proper acknowledgment.
· Self-plagiarism,
involving the reuse of one's own work without citation.
· Verbatim or near-verbatim
translation without appropriate citation.
· Unauthorized use of
intellectual property, including images, figures, or tables, without
attribution.
Consequences of plagiarism
· Plagiarized content is
highlighted for authors to address.
· Depending on severity,
manuscripts may be rejected or returned for revisions.
· Serious or repeated cases
may result in notification to institutions or funding agencies.
· Authors may face
temporary or permanent submission bans and other actions to maintain academic
integrity.

articles may be retracted in line with NJPPP's correction and retraction
policy.
Preventing plagiarism
Authors

· Clearly cite and
reference all sources.
· Attribute quoted or
paraphrased content appropriately.
· Seek permission for
copyrighted material.

citing and referencing prior work.

detection software before submission.
Plagiarism induced by repository deposition
Authors
submitting previously deposited manuscripts or theses must:

and attribution to the initial repository.
· Ensure originality or
compliance with copyright agreements for repository material.
· Reuse material with
proper paraphrasing and clear attribution to the original repository.
· Clearly state repository
deposition during the submission process for transparent review.
In
our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and
originality, the National Journal of Physiology, Pharmacy and Pharmacology
(NJPPP) consistently utilizes iThenticate as a robust plagiarism detection tool
for each submitted manuscript. This comprehensive process involves two thorough
checks: the first during the initial submission before peer-review, and the
second before acceptance, encompassing all peer-review and revision stages.
iThenticate plays a pivotal role in preserving the authenticity of all
submitted manuscripts throughout the entire editorial process. The scholarly
integrity of our publication is paramount, leading us to establish stringent
guidelines to ensure that instances of plagiarism do not exceed 20% at any
stage of the manuscript submission, including during the revised manuscript
submission. Our meticulously crafted plagiarism policy comprehensively
addresses various forms of plagiarism, ranging from direct text copying and
paraphrasing without proper acknowledgment to instances of self-plagiarism and
unauthorized use of intellectual property, such as images and figures.
